Expert forecasts from businesses suggest marked gains in the mobile VoIP market, indicating that the market is all set to gain $2.5 billion in revenue by 2017. With more and more consumers looking to save money by using VoIP systems, there is a big challenge posed to the players here.

Cloud telecommunications company, netTALK.com is has entered this loop, which is focused to bring its model of liberating consumers and small businesses from entrenched, expensive call systems. The company unveiled new privacy features to its low cost wireless VoIP telephone device, netTALK DUO which includes; caller ID block and call blocking. These are being added to netTALK's long list of free features, which is already overflowing with value and convenience for netTALK DUO digital phone users.

"At netTALK our customers' privacy is a top priority, and these new features reflect that," Anastasios Takis Kyriakides, president and chief executive officer of netTALK, said in a press release.

"In contrast to the competition, we pride ourselves on listening to our customers' feedback, which drives our business strategy to provide the best-in-class technology and unmatched value and savings. Our customers told us they want advanced privacy options, and we are delivering. However, these are only the latest in a seemingly endless list of advanced features we offer for our digital phone service,” Kyriakides added.

The solution offers free local and long distance calling, number porting, a variety of calling plans suited to users needs, free 411 directory assistance, three-way and conference calling, call waiting/caller ID/call forwarding, visual voicemail, and now free caller ID blocking and incoming call blocking, the list of features offered by netTALK DUO is noted to be absolutely unrivaled.

A company statement also clarified that the new privacy features are now fully-integrated into all netTALK DUO digital phone service accounts. For caller ID blocking on outgoing calls, customers have to simply dial *77, followed by the number and their call will come up as "UNKNOWN" on the recipient's caller ID.

Also, to block incoming calls from a specific number, customers have to log into their account and click on 'Phone (News - Alert) Numbers' and enter a phone number they wish to block including callers that use UNKNOWN or anonymous on their caller ID.

Recently, netTALK announced that this successful device netTALK DUO Wi-Fi is now available at "leading national Canadian retailers" such as Amazon.ca, Best Buy (News - Alert), Future Shop, Staples and Sears.
