Singapore-based REVE Systems offers VoIP software solutions including a mobile VoIP platform, IP softswitch and billing applications.

As part of the company’s latest push to make mobile VoIP even more accessible to users, the company has launched iTel Mobile Dialer Express for Android (News - Alert) handsets.

CEO M. Rezaul Hassan announced the release of the latest dialer in Singapore earlier this week.

According to Hassan, “The dialer is compatible with Android OS version 1.6 and above and supports more than 70 popular Android- based handsets.”

As mobile phone use has grown tremendously across the globe, so have costs associated with using smartphone devices to make calls. However, there is a technology that works to save callers money using Voice over IP technology.

The market for mobile VoIP solutions, according to a report by market research firm In-Stat (News - Alert),  is set to generate annual revenues of $32.2 billion, driven by more than 278 million registered users worldwide.

The iTel Mobile Dialer Express was awarded “Product of the Year” by TMC’s (News - Alert) INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine in 2009 and received the “Excellence Award” in 2010.

“Android is an open source OS that comes with open development platform which gives third party the opportunity to add new innovations. Therefore, handsets with Android are a first choice for many individuals. Also, Android is the fastest growing OS platform in the industry - contributing 36 percent of the OS market, which means service providers now have the opportunity to serve more customers, ”  Hassan said.

Recently, REVE Systems also launched the iTel Mobile Dialer Express for Blackberry handsets. This dialer supports OS 4.6, OS 5, OS 6 and above and works on both Blackberry GSM and CDMA.
