Samsung (News - Alert) Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) announced that it has installed 20 newly designed charging stations in all of the terminals at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
With the installation of new charging stations, DCA has become the first airport to install the redesigned charging stations for travelers to charge their mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronics for free.
JCDecaux (News - Alert), the world’s largest out-of-home advertising company, manages the advertising concession at DCA and partnered with Samsung to implement the redesigned charging stations.
“Samsung Mobile is excited to bring 20 new mobile charging stations to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile, in a statement.
“Travelers rely on their mobile devices everyday to stay connected to work and their family. The redesigned charging stations offer travelers a variety of new features to ensure they stay connected on-the-road,” Sohn added.
Samsung Mobile charging stations include six electrical outlets compatible for U.S. voltage, two USB charging outlets, four micro USB mobile phone charging plugs and a touchscreen display that provides travelers with informational content including news, weather and flight information.
Samsung Mobile has installed more than 421 charging stations in 12 of the nation’s busiest airports. Samsung Mobile has also installed 83 charging stations at 20 of the nation’s largest college campuses.

Recently Samsung and T-Mobile (News - Alert) announced the launch of three Bluetooth headsets: the HM3700 ($59.99), HS3000 ($69.99), and HM1700 ($39.99).
