With mobile devices and applications flooding the market, mobile device management (MDM) and mobile security management (MSM) are becoming increasingly important in the enterprise space. By optimizing the functionality of mobile devices while controlling and protecting the data and configuration settings for all devices in a network, support costs and business security risks are significantly lowered.
Specifically for mobile security and enterprise mobile management provider AirWatch (News - Alert), mobility is a key enabler of its customers because it provides opportunities to be more efficient and productive.
“As the globalization increases, companies need to be nimble and be able to react quickly to local, regional and global demand. In the modern business age, mobility is the catalyst that sparks better outcomes and results,” Victor Cooper, global public relations manager told TMCnet in an exclusive interview. “Further, mobility allows companies to expand their reach into multiple markets without being tied down to one region.”
With all of the buzz surrounding enterprise mobility, AirWatch will be hosting its second annual AirWatch Connect 2013 to enable attendees to discover AirWatch product innovations, stay on top of enterprise mobility trends, learn best practices and ensure they are making a smart mobile investment. Connect 2013 is being held in conjunction with Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) (MWC) to ensure attendees get the most from their investment as MWC 2012 was a record-breaking year, with even higher hopes for this year.
Last week, AirWatch shared the much-anticipated speaker lineup for AirWatch Connect 2013, its user conference for enterprise mobility at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Feb. 25 - 27.
"AirWatch continues to drive thought leadership within the mobile community, and we recognized MWC is the premier industry event to bring together our customers, partners and industry experts," said John Marshall (News - Alert), president and CEO, AirWatch, in a statement.
Monday sessions are open to all Mobile World Congress attendees, but only Connect 2013 registrants can participate in Tuesday and Wednesday sessions including executive, product and technical tracks. At the conference, attendees will hear from over 20 innovative companies and industry experts.
The sessions on Monday will include "Key Trends Shaping the Future of Enterprise Mobility," "Managed Services for Enterprise Mobility," "Samsung (News - Alert) Next Generation Enterprise Capabilities," "Windows Phone 8 Ready for Business" and; "GSMA Mobile Security Strategy Forum; “Driving Business Value through Mobility," “Global Airlines Taking Mobility to New Heights," "Empower Mobile Learning in the Classroom," "Security, Privacy and Legal Implications of BYOD" and; "Atlanta - Where Mobility Meets the Real World.”
“When bringing together the brightest mobility minds in the world, everyone benefits. Sharing best practices allows other companies to realize that they are not facing the mobility challenge alone. By AirWatch providing the platform for the global mobile community to convene, partners, clients and prospective clients can see how we work with these parties to simplify enterprise mobility,” explained Cooper.
Additionally, Tuesday and Wednesday’s sessions will cover major challenges and opportunities for enterprise mobility including the consumerization of IT and BYOD; the latest device, operating system and OEM innovations; EMM trends and best practices; mobile device, application and content management strategies; and enterprise integration. Also, technical tracks will cover certificate management, APIs, content collaboration, telecom management, analytics, compliance and other AirWatch capabilities that improve business processes.
Marshall continued, "Mobility is the key enabler for our customers to drive new levels of efficiency and growth within their organizations. AirWatch is committed to providing not only the best technology, but also the global forums and community to share ideas, address current challenges and learn best practices."
At Connect 2013, session speakers include top industry analysts and more than 20 global customers at the Connect booth #3B34 in hall 3.
