MobileIron Partners with Cass Information Systems to Simplify the Mobile Environment

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Mobile app management and security vendor MobileIron has entered into a new partnership with Cass Information Systems, a provider of communications lifecycle managed services with ACH carrier payments for enterprises and employees. Together, the two companies plan to deliver comprehensive managed mobility services designed to simplify the management of a mobile environment.

Specifically, Cass will integrate its services and technology — which focus on improving efficiencies, increasing visibility and controlling the costs of mobile management — with MobileIron’s MDM platform. This will extend Cass’ services to include mobile data security and device management for enterprises.

MobileIron entered into a similar partnership with Bradford Networks this past September. In this instance, the goal was to create a fully integrated network access control and mobile device management solution.

"We are delighted to be working with MobileIron in their efforts to enable 'Mobile First' enterprises," said Gary Langfitt, president of Cass Information Systems Expense Management group, in a statement. "We're seeing a tremendous upswing in mobility initiatives within in our customer base. These deployments can be very complicated from a technology, security and corporate governance perspective, and the last thing IT professionals want is to cobble together disparate systems to manage the process. This partnership creates a robust, unified solution that helps bring order to the chaos."

Cass and MobileIron will integrate expense management and device management functions at common touch points in order to extend workflow efficiency and accuracy. This will in turn recoup the time, effort and costs that come with deploying and managing mobile environments.

In particular, the partnership will introduce a streamlined mobile program self-enrollment process with integration with all major HRIS software, real-time mobile device management, increased security policy monitoring and much more.

"As enterprises become 'Mobile First' organizations, they need to be able to effectively manage their mobile costs," said Ojas Rege, vice president of strategy at MobileIron. "Our partnership with Cass gives Mobile IT new levels of operational and financial controls."
