Mobile Device Management Becomes Simpler with Cass

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Considering the growing relevance of the bring your own device (BYOD) strategy for enterprise mobility, organizations are turning to mobile device management solutions that provide them with the ability to manage devices that have different operating systems and a multitude of apps.

In fact, Gartner (News - Alert) recently predicted that 90 percent of enterprises will have two or more mobile operating systems to support by 2017. According to the analyst firm, many companies have moved to Apple's (News - Alert) iOS as their main mobile device platform last year and others are likely to follow over the next 12 to 18 months.

In a recent industry development that is intended to further boost the adoption of the BYOD strategy in enterprises, Cass Information Systems, a provider of telecom expense management services, and True Wireless, an enterprise wireless solutions provider, formed a partnership to deliver a complete mobile device management solution for BYOD environments.

The partnership combines the Cass Mobile$mart BYOD service with True Wireless' ability to provide enterprises with the ability to seamlessly provision and deploy large scale enterprise rollouts of wireless devices such as smartphones and tablets. The integrated solution reduces the time and effort associated with mobile deployments of any size by streamlining the management of all mobile assets.

"The clients that True Wireless serves in the enterprise marketplace are interested in partnering with large, well-established firms like Cass," said True Wireless founder and CEO, Rob Chamberlin, in a statement. "We are also confident that our expertise in the wireless industry will enhance the significant value Cass already delivers to its customers."

Gary Langfitt, president of Cass Information Systems Expense Management group, stated that employees nowadays want to bring their own devices (BYOD) into their offices. While the trend of BYOD has resulted in tremendous flexibility and productivity gains, it comes with the added cost of managing increased complexity.

“We're simplifying this complexity for our clients, and this new partnership will allow us to go even further in addressing our customers' needs for secure, controlled, cost-effective mobility,” Langfitt added.
