MobileIron, a provider of robust mobile device management solutions, has recently been named to Red Herring’s (News - Alert) Top 100 Americas list, which recognizes innovative, private companies and celebrates their robust technologies.
“Choosing the companies with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring, in a press release. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across North America to the Top 100 Winners.”
He further added, “We believe MobileIron embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. MobileIron should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong.”
The editorial staff of Red Herring evaluated companies based upon both quantitative and qualitative criteria including financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration.
After the thorough analysis, a review of the track record and standing of startups relative to their sector peers is also done. This allows Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in America.
Additionally, the company has been among the first to recognize companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype (News - Alert), Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay and the ways in which they would change the ways we both live and work.
Available as an on-premise or a cloud solution, MobileIron was purpose-built to secure and manage mobile apps, content, and devices for global companies. It was the first to deliver key innovations such as multi-OS mobile device management, mobile application management and BYOD privacy controls.
In related news, MobileIron has also been recognized with the prestigious 2012 Mobility Award for Best Mobile Resource Management / Mobile Device Management, from MobileTrax, a mobile and wireless industry analyst firm.
