MobileIron, a provider of robust mobile device management solutions, has recently been recognized with the prestigious 2012 Mobility Award for Best Mobile Resource Management / Mobile Device Management, from MobileTrax, a mobile and wireless industry analyst firm.
In a press release, Bob Tinker, CEO of MobileIron, said, "Mobile IT doesn't change at the usual pace of enterprise technologies, it moves at consumer speed. Global companies are rushing to be able to give their users the choices of apps and devices they need to be productive. This award recognizes that MobileIron is consistently first to market with the key innovations that make our customers' mobile deployments fast and successful."
The Mobility Awards recognize the best mobile computing and wireless data communications products and services introduced to the market during the past year. And 37 members of the press and analysts who cover the mobile and wireless market worked in unison to select the winners of the 2012 Mobility Awards.
MobileIron’s MDM solution is available as either on-premise or in the cloud and was purpose-built from the ground up to secure and manage mobile apps, data, and devices for global companies. The company was the first to deliver key innovations such as multi-OS mobile device management, mobile application management and BYOD privacy controls.
Touted as a business with an extremely extensive MDM portfolio, the mobile device management provider has also been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner (News - Alert) Inc.'s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software.
In other company news, earlier this month TMCnet had the news that MobileIron had
launched the industry’s first complete security and management foundation for mobile IT. The MobileIron Application Delivery Network (ADN) powers scalable app provisioning in the enterprise, enabling mobile IT departments to deliver apps of any size to a number of devices without negatively impacting the network.
