Mobile device management helps organizations gain control of an array of wireless device platforms and address the needs of security, visibility and device management. As the days pass, more organizations are realizing the importance of implementing an efficient mobile device management strategy, mainly because the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives are putting tremendous pressure on their network.
Currently, the industry is abuzz with new partnerships that enable vendors to leverage the opportunities lying in mobile device management and wireless management.
Most recently, MOBI Wireless Management, a provider of strategic management solutions for corporate mobility programs, inked a partnership with Notify Technology Corporation's NotifyMDM, a provider of mobile device management solutions, to integrate NotifyMDM with MOBI.
The integration of NotifyMDM’s functionality within MOBI's current wireless mobility management services (WMM) simplifies wireless mobility management and mobile device management into a single dashboard, the company said in a press release.
The combined solution will provide customers with a more powerful way to manage and control an array of wireless devices running on popular platforms such as Apple (News - Alert) iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone as well as select Nokia S60 Symbian wireless devices.
"The collaboration greatly enhances the suite of features available to telecom managers and end-users," said Brandon Hampton, director at MOBI Wireless Management, in a statement. "Mobility environments by nature evolve into enormously complex ecosystems, and providing systems and tools designed to bring clarity to even the most complex wireless environment is a mission our organizations share.”
“Offering both solutions as an overall integrated service could not have come at a better time as most businesses are now handling program and device management tasks in separate silos," Hampton added.
The partnership provides companies with a number of features including policy creation and enforcement for corporate or individually liable devices, compliance management, real-time device statistics, audit tracking, application management, file sharing, asset tracking, report generation and an end user self-service portal.
"We look forward to adding our NotifyMDM functionality to the MOBI management services," Paul DePond, president of Notify Technology Corporation concluded. "Notify has created an effective solution that can be integrated into a partner's product offering creating a combined solution that has a more powerful value proposition to the customer.”Rajani Baburajan is a contributing editor for TMCnet.
