Mobile device management provider MobileIron will be in attendance at this year’s Cisco Live, taking place from July 11-14 in Las Vegas. A leader in Gartner (News - Alert) Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management 2011, MobileIron delivers a complete solution for managing next-generation mobile devices in the enterprise.
Many enterprises are trying to understand how they can best secure, configure and analyze devices that are connected to their corporate Wi-Fi and VPN infrastructure. For example, KLA-Tencor, a MobileIron customer, deployed 5,400 iPads within their organization. A huge challenge for this company was not only making sure that these iPads were able to connect to the Wi-Fi network, but also that the devices could establish an identity to the network securely, through use of certificates. MobileIron enabled KLA-Tencor to go from development to full deployment in only a four week time period.
At the event, attendees will have the chance to speak with company officials about how businesses can use the Virtual Smartphone Platform to address challenges. Some topics that are to be highlighted at the event include how attendees can easily protect enterprise Wi-Fi and VPN networks, along with the ActiveSync mail environment, from devices that are unsecured or violate corporate policies; showing enterprises how they can easily automate the configuration of mobile devices for network resources, including E-mail, Wi-Fi and VPN, allowing enterprise IT to deploy dozens to thousands of smartphones and tablets at scale; and explaining how IT can allow lines of business to innovate, through the deployment and management of mobile applications.
Product experts will be available each of the four days that Cisco (News - Alert) Live will be taking place to show participants how products work and answer any questions they may have.
