Mformation (News - Alert) Technologies, a provider of mobile device management solutions, announced its benchmark testing simulated a live customer deployment with 100 million active devices and users under management on a single instance of the Mformation platform.

This performance benchmark testing shows the capability of Mformation Service Manager platform, in order to address the requirements of the mobile operators and managed service providers (MSPs) as they grow over the next several years. As demonstrated in the performance benchmarking, Mformation’s multi-tenant platform can support deployments at the largest tier-1 mobile operators, according to company officials.

Mformation Service Manager was designed from the ground up for carrier-grade and cloud-mandated scalability. This is significant for applications like large-scale over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates of Android (News - Alert) devices. The scalability enables cloud-based support for deployments, involving a few enterprise customers with thousands of devices.

“We separate the presentation, application and data layers, and allow each component to be scaled out separately and dynamically. Additionally, we provide software delivery offload to allow for very high bandwidth updates of very large data packets to end-point devices,” ” said Rakesh Kushwaha, CTO and founder of Mformation Technologies, in a statement.

“The platform is currently live in customer production environments on 3G and 4G networks, supporting more than 500 million devices in aggregate,” Kushwaha added.

The result is significant as the platform can support service providers who need to support smaller tier-1 and tier-2 operators or any enterprise customers with a cloud-based mobile device management service offering.

Recently, Mformation Technologies revealed that it completed five years of its India operations in Bangalore. Mformation’s device certification lab in Bangalore supports key global mobile device vendors such as HTC, Huawei, Intel, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, RIM, Samsung, Sony Ericsson (News - Alert), Symbian and ZTE.
