Master Agent Focus Credited for ACT, AB&T Deal

ACT Conferencing officials say they've extended the company's contract with AB&T Telecom, a national telecommunications master agent headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The move is seen by the company as AB&T increasing its focus on conferencing services.
"Adding AB&T master agents to our partner program will enable us to further expand the reach of our services into new markets across the United States," said Emmet J. Tydings, president, AB&T Telecom (News - Alert).
Founded in 1963, AB&T Telecom is a master service provider in telecommunications, cloud computing and converged technology. The vendor works with value-added resellers, agents and consultants across the U.S. to deliver voice, data, SaaS (News - Alert), Internet and wireless network to business and government customers. 
The company has recently collaborated with ACT to launch a series of education and training initiatives to enable AB&T reseller partners to offer ACT Conferencing services to their customers. AB&T now offers the entire suite of ACT conferencing products and services.
Tydings said the deal with ACT "gives our technology partners flexibility in customizing conferencing offerings to match their customers' particular needs, as well as combining that with AB&T and ACT's customer service."
"Adding AB&T, one of the largest, most well respected master agents in the country, to our partner program will enable us to further demonstrate the quality and value that our conferencing services provide and help us to expand the reach of our services into new markets across the United States," said Paul Vick, director of channel sales, ACT Conferencing.
Earlier this year TMC's (News - Alert) Anil Sharma reported that AB&T Telecom, GreenAppX and Jamcracker (News - Alert) entered into a partnership to provide a channels-focused marketplace that enables Telco agents, VARs, and Managed Service Providers, or "MSPs," to source and sell subscription-based cloud services to their business customers. 

"The GreenAppX marketplace provides AB&T channel partners with a wholesale cloud services catalog as well as private-branded life-cycle services delivery and management," Sharma noted.
