DukeNet Communications, a provider of fiber optic high-bandwidth data connections for enterprise customers and data centers in the Southeast, recently revealed that it has entered into a agreement with Telarus (News - Alert), a master agent that makes it easier for carriers to sell a wide array of broadband services.
This newly signed alliance with Telarus shows that DukeNet wants to gather up as many customers as possible within its region in order to significantly expand its footprint.
DukeNet recently started an “indirect channel program” in September of last year, which gives telecom agents, value-added resellers (VARs), and a number of other companies the ability to sell DikeNet’s infrastructure services (which are optical and Ethernet capable) to large enterprises around the Southeast. Teaming with Telarus seems to be the ideal next step, as the contract allows DukeNet to tap into a larger customer portfolio throughout the Southeast region and gives the fiber optic provider a high-profile service distributor partner.
Adam Edwards, president of Telarus, said, “We are thrilled to be a master agent in DukeNet’s Channel Partner (News - Alert) Program. DukeNet’s brand strength and commitment to service quality is well-known in the Southeast. The company’s reputation for service excellence, combined with its over 8,000 dense fiber route miles in key Southeast markets, provide our agent partners another viable alternative to service their enterprise customers.”
The innovative master agent enables partners to check whether locations can be serviced by DukeNet’s fiber network through Google (News - Alert) Maps and its own GeoQuote system.
Mike Prendergast, DukeNet SVP of Sales and Marketing, commented, “The DukeNet channel partner program is more than six months old and growing stronger with the participation of top-notch distributors like Telarus. We see tremendous opportunity for advanced transport solutions in the marketplace today, particularly as the implementation of cloud-based applications continues to grow. Cloud services are not possible without a high-capacity fiber-optic network as their foundation.”
“The agreement with Telarus affirms our commitment to deliver best-in-class Ethernet and fiber-based products and services that give agents, VARs, and integrators new choices and solutions for their customers here in the Southeast,” he added.
