Earlier this month, it was revealed that Cbeyond (News - Alert) will now enable Insight customers to leverage its TotalCloud Data Center cloud computing services. Cbeyond is touted as a broadband, mobile voice and data, IT and business phone service provider that enables small businesses to leverage a robust suite that only larger enterprises typically have access to.
Through the InsightCloud Solution Center, nearly 70,000 commercial and public sector clients, in addition to 5,000 global manufacturers and publishers, will be able to both purchase and manage Cbeyond's TotalCloud Data Center, an array of key cloud services and solutions. According to company officials, by utilizing these services, enterprises can address their growing virtualization, data center and networking needs through a single client portal, reported a recent piece.
The company powers a private IP network and softswitch technology to deliver feature-rich communication services at a cost-effective price for smaller sized companies that continuously find themselves trying to meet increasing customer demands while still adhering to their strict budget. Luckily, the TotalCloud Data Center is a Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering that seamlessly integrates virtual and physical servers with Microsoft's Hyper-V hypervisor management engine, Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS), EMC (News - Alert) storage, F5 load balancing and a Fortinet firewall (IDS/IPS). This enables Cbeyond to easily manage and closely analyze the data center environment, server hardware and OS layer for virtual and physical servers.
"With more of our partners offering their solutions via the cloud, we continue to see clients wrestle with the concept of managing multiple cloud services," said Bill McCarthy, senior vice president, Cloud Solutions at Insight, in a statement. "We are pleased to have Cbeyond in our InsightCloud Solutions Center, where clients can leverage the management capabilities for their cloud services."
Insight and Cbeyond have inked a three-year authorized reseller agreement, highlighting Insight as the master agent for Cbeyond's cloud computing services in two locations—the U.S. and Canada.
Cbeyond clearly realizes that forming strategic alliances is required for ongoing success. Austin Holverson, marketing manager, at master agent Telarus (News - Alert), revealed in an exclusive interview with TMCnet that his organization recently “added 226 new CBeyond lit buildings to GeoQuote.” GeoQuote is a real-time online quoting system used by Telarus agents to quickly and accurately research price options as well as other vital data and for clients.
And over the summer, the master agent also added 2,800 Cbeyond lit buildings, which includes all Cbeyond markets in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, DC, Atlanta, and Miami.
Since the end of last year, pricing for Cbeyond's solutions such as data T1, bonded T1, integrated T1 and local voice were included within the next-generation platform.
