Utah-based master agent Telarus (News - Alert) recently became part of the Masergy Global Partner Program, powering Masergy's array of MPLS/VPLS and cloud communications products to customers all over the world. Not only is Telarus touted as a national distributor of commercial voice and data services and powers GeoQuote, an online platform capable of quoting transaction products with an unparalleled level of accuracy, but with this newly inked agreement, it will enable nearly 1,250 independent agencies that are subagents of Telarus to sell Masergy's solutions to various clients.

It was only a few months back in September of this year that Masergy, a carrier of Telarus known for its network services that are delivered to enterprises that have specific needs that must be met across multiple locations, that the company unveiled its suite of Global Cloud Communications services. These services will ultimately enable Telarus partners to gain access to an intuitive, hybrid solution that seamlessly integrates elements from its Intelligent SIP trunking and Hosted UC in order to create a much more simple cloud communications transition and deployment plan for customers, according to a recent piece.

 "Telarus has created one of the most diverse and unique distribution channels in the market," said Chuck Ward, Masergy's vice president of Channel Development, in a statement. "Their proven ability to sell international MPLS/VPLS, SIP trunking and hosted communications products to medium-to-large enterprises, along with Masergy's extensive consultative and engineering expertise will enable us to jointly compete and win more global network and voice sales opportunities."

In related company news, in August, Masergy released the list of its Platinum and Gold Level Members for its Global Partner Program in fiscal year 2013. Some of the companies highlighted on the list include: Avant Communications, Bridgepointe Technologies, Business Communications Management, Intelisys, LinkSource Technologies, PlanetOne Communications, and Agent Alliance.

“Revenue from our Global Partner Program once again grew by more than 20 percent during our last fiscal year," commented John Dumbleton, senior vice president of Business Development for Masergy. “Our continued channel growth is directly attributable to the outstanding collaborative efforts between our partners, employees and customers.”

As Masergy continues to expand, it is likely due to multiple factors with one major being the fact that it continues to team with Telarus who is hard at work enticing VARs to sell its core telecom services. With the added bonus of placing each VAR that is referred to a Telarus agent partner into the one-of-a-kind VAR Network management system, it is easy to assign dozens of VARs to a single agent, pay those VARs directly on behalf of the agent, and provide both parties access to the CRM records of the accounts on which they are jointly engaged.
