Comcast (News - Alert), one of the world’s biggest media, entertainment and communications companies and a provider of master agent TBI, has revealed that it will begin to sell Verizon’s (News - Alert) wireless phone services and products due its recently signed partnership with the company.

Early next year, Comcast will begin to sell Verizon Wireless products in four markets according to a recent article. TV giant Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable, also a provider of the master agent, has also revealed plans to start selling existing Verizon products in a bundled package immediately, according to TWC Chief Financial Officer Irene Esteves.

Last week, the article stated that Verizon Wireless signed a deal worth $3.6 billion that would allow the company to gain access to 122 spectrum licenses from Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. The companies also inked multiple commercial agreements at the same time that will give cable operators and Verizon Wireless equal opportunity to sell each other's products and services.

Even though Comcast will be promoting and selling Verizon’s products, the company doesn’t plan on halting its competitive efforts. Reuters (News - Alert) reported that Comcast will continue to compete with Verizon Communications – Verizon Wireless' parent company – in markets where Verizon offers FiOS TV and Internet service.

In a majority of situations, U.S. cable TV companies choose to steer clear of selling mobile phone services, however not having a vast portfolio of wireless services can potentially enable AT&T and Verizon to gain an advantage, as these types of company’s power bundled packages including landline voice, wireless, Internet and television.

With the communications industry continuously evolving, master agents and others involved in the space must take steps that will set themselves apart from the competition.
