Just last week, EarthLink Inc., a vendor of master agent TBI, revealed that it will be extending its managed services division through an agreement to acquire the IT Solution Center, as well as the hosted application business from Synergy (News - Alert) Global Solution.

These recent acquisitions will in turn become a segment of EarthLink’s business division and will be available for purchase through its direct and indirect sales channels, a recent article revealed.

The company’s latest moves to further enhance its managed services solutions follows other purchases that include the acquisition of xDefenders back in September, the acquisition of Business Vitals in August, and the acquisition of LogicalSolutions.net in May.

Executive Vice President of Marketing for EarthLink Business Cardi Prinzi recently revealed that the company will be integrating all of its innovative solutions that have been gathered from all of these recent transactions to introduce a branded managed services offer to the market. The Synergy purchase, in particular, will provide support for customers of these managed services, Prinzi added.

According to the article, Synergy’s IT Solution Center is comprised of a help desk, network operations center and remote-care platform that power SAS (News - Alert)-70 certified services, tiered network support and monitoring, remote technical management, in addition to supporting multiple networks and operating system platforms. EarthLink also will be buying Synergy's cloud-based application service that enables the environmental services industry to gain access to various key IT solutions.

Moreover, EarthLink also will begin working in conjunction with 120 VARs that sell the IT Solution Center and hosted application services, allowing them to sell other EarthLink Business products such as cloud services, data vaulting, secure email, managed firewall as well as other communications and network services.
