The upcoming 2011 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas will feature a number of presentations, workshops and networking events designed to aid indirect sales organizations like agents, VARs and consultants in the technology space.
One of the most highly anticipated events is a pre-conference workshop, titled, "Women in the Channel: Collaborate for Success," which is being sponsored by master agent TBI, in conjunction with Paetec and Windstream (News - Alert).
Taking place on Saturday, March 12, the two-hour inaugural workshop is intended to help empower women in the technology channel sales arena, while helping to develop best practices and strategies to improve the telecom field in general. The workshop will also delve into concerns over the perceived barriers that female leaders may face while trying to work into an upper management role in the technology channel sales space, as well as strategies that should be employed to recruit more talented women into the industry.
The event will be broken down into three distinct segments: a keynote address by famed author and business coach Kimber Lim, followed by a roundtable discussion featuring several female channel leaders, and concluding with an open forum where attendees can network and discuss the number of ways that women can be supported in the channel sales environment.
“Channel Partners applauds TBI for signing on to support the Women in the Channel Workshop,” Channel Partners Editor Khali Henderson noted in a statement.
“The early enthusiasm for this program shows a real need in the marketplace for a forum where women in the channel can get together, discuss common concerns, connect with peers and form friendships that will be the foundation for collaboration and success for themselves, their companies and the channel," she added. "TBI’s endorsement and investment is a show of true leadership and commitment to the channel community.”
The workshop will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at the Aria (News - Alert) Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Click here to register for the event today.
