BlueTie (News - Alert), a provider of Software-as-a-Service or “SaaS” collaboration services for SMBs worldwide, announced it has enhanced its existing managed services portal, the Extranet, with new functionality that enables channel partners to easily provision and manage stand alone and hybrid Hosted Exchange 2010 users from one interface. A benefit for its master agents.

Prior to this enhancement, administrators utilized two different portals for each mail system.

Back in August BlueTie announced a hybrid e-mail solution that integrates BlueTie Business Email with Hosted Exchange 2010. This combination of Web-based e-mail, according to company officials, marked the first implementation of a SaaS hybrid offering using the latest version of Microsoft's (News - Alert) Hosted Exchange Server.

BlueTie's hybrid Exchange 2010 offers SMBs the opportunity to place different users within the same business on two separate e-mail systems-Hosted Exchange 2010 and BlueTie's 10GB Pro E-mail solution. This provided the most scalable and cost effective e-mail solution available to businesses.

The most recent enhancements are offered to better help partners manage hybrid Exchange users and quickly earn additional services revenue from their customers, company officials said.

The new portal features a single, intuitive management interface where partners can implement new users, administer existing users and manage additional services like mobile e-mail, encryption and e-mail archival for both Hosted Exchange 2010 and BlueTie 10GB Pro e-mail users.

“It's paramount that our master agents maintain complete ownership of the customer relationship when implementing and managing their users,” said Shawn Ryan, vice president of product management and marketing, BlueTie, in a statement.

“Our enhanced Extranet has streamlined the process of creating and maintaining Hosted Exchange 2010 and BlueTie users from the same company on a single platform,” Ryan said. Moreover, it provides our channel partners the ability to earn additional services revenue from each customer.”

BlueTie's Extranet features a new Hosted Exchange tab that allows partners to easily manage users on both Hosted Exchange 2010 and BlueTie's proprietary e-mail platforms.

By integrating the two mail systems, partners attain the cost effective and scalable Hybrid Exchange 2010 e-mail model, which places some users in a business on Hosted Exchange 2010 and others on BlueTie's e-mail solution.

“Providing partners with the tools to successfully grow and manage their user base remains our top priority in the channel,” said Ryan. “Our master agent program has been very well received and we look forward to continuing to grow our partner network.”
