Radware, a specialist in integrated application delivery solutions for business networking, announces that Austrian system innovator and GSM-R (GSM for railways) supplier Kapsch CarrierCom is now a Radware (News - Alert) master agent partner. This signing further expands Radware’s coverage of the global application delivery market.

Under the terms of the companies’ agreement, Kapsch will work closely with Radware to sell Radware’s solutions as key carrier-market components leading to next-generation data center solutions. To this end, Radware will be provided with training and resources regarding all Radware application security and application delivery product lines, including the Alteon 4-7 application delivery product line, including the Alteon Application Accelerators and Alteon Application Switches, that Radware acquired from Nortel (News - Alert) in 2009.

The Radware product lines will enable Kapsch to continue to leverage its expertise in new technology integration to provide assistance with migration of service platforms, OSS/BSS systems and processes, and fixed or mobile voice and data networks to new architectures such as IMS and EPC. Kapsch will be able to better fill the needs of its customers through being able to offer one of the most technologically advanced application delivery products available today.

Engelbert Kerschbaummayr, Director, Customer Solution Management, Kapsch CarrierCom (News - Alert), said that the Radware product portfolio will serve as the ‘glue’ for Kapsch to offer more flexible and secure access to the service platforms and self-care portals residing within fixed End to End and Mobile Network Solutions (News - Alert). Radware’s portfolio also enables Kapsch to boost the availability and scalability of its Carrier Class Mobile Packet Core Systems and SIP based VoIP systems.

The partnership of Kapsch and Radware, said Kerschbaummayr, will enable customers to boost their own service packages’ time-to-market and flexibility. Kerschbaummayr concluded by saying that Kapsch is confident to have chosen the top partner for Carrier Class Application Delivery and Security, and is supporting its initiatives toward converged IP data and multimedia networks.

Alfred Bettheil, sales manager, Austria and South East Europe, Radware, said that this partnership with Kapsch helps Radware increase its foothold in Europe, and that thanks to the partnership Radware can be better able to fulfill customers’ needs, now and in the future.
