T-Mobile (News - Alert) Macedonia, a dealer in mobile market, has stated that encourage by their success with MediationZone they have planned to further extend its use to several new projects like converged operations environment for fixed and mobile networks and enabling prepaid refill and integrating the point-of-sales platform with the real-time charging system.

MediationZone is mediation system developed by DigitalRoute. Mediation is used for collecting, processing and distributing data files in telco IT. MediationZone is designed for every kind of fixed, mobile or IP networks providers. It is high scalable system, it can run in cluster of servers which work parallel making it simple to improve the performance in case of increasing load.

The journey with MediationZone at T-Mobile Macedonia started in mid 2008 as T-Mobile was in need of mediation functionality in order to unveil 3G and a triple play service branded as Family+.

Dragan Stankovski, System Integration Team Leader at T-Mobile has said that as part of the selection processes for a new mediation platform, T-Mobile invited three vendors including DigitalRoute to provide a proof-of-concept demonstration. Flexibility, ease of deployment and performance were the most important factors to them and they were very impressed with MediationZone. They were able to handle massive volumes on commodity hardware while the requirements for the proof-of-concept could be achieved in a few hours. With MediationZone they can complete in days what would otherwise take weeks or months.

Mine Pavlovski, executive director of IT has said that MediationZone is definitely among the best performing systems that they have and it is strategically one of the most important systems when it comes to decreasing time-to-market for new services.

Miroslav Jovanovic, chief IT pfficer has said that they are seeing MediationZone as a crucial component in their IT infrastructure, compliant with all their plans for consolidation of IT systems in both fix and mobile lines of business. It’s a promising system, fully compliant with their next-gen development program.
