In case you haven’t noticed, Coyote Point Systems (News - Alert) –a provider of load balancer technology – has been making quite a name for itself in the social media stratosphere as of late, specifically since it decided to beef up its Twitter (News - Alert) and Facebook accounts in the hope of sparking customer conversations and eliciting product feedback.
“This is a great opportunity for us to connect directly with our customers, invite them to speak with us on topics that we present, and invite them to actually comment or pose their own questions and topics,” Jim Puchbauer (News - Alert), director of marketing, Coyote Point, told TMCnet of the company’s social media outreach.
And in an effort to take that aim of connecting a step further, Coyote Point is asking its customers to “Tweet Your Story” and share their Coyote Point experience of Twitter to win a new iPad. Until May 31, Coyote Point will accept entries and customers are encouraged to tweet about their favorite load balancer feature, the reason they’ve chosen a Coyote Point Equalizer or how their company has benefited since using Coyote Point’s technology –all in 140 characters or less. The person with the “best Tweet” will win a brand new 32GB WiFi (News - Alert)/4G Apple iPad.
Entries must include @coyotepoint in the body of the message and the giveaway is available to only Coyote Point customers with a valid Coyote Point product serial number and who are actively following Coyote Point on Twitter.
Tweets have ranged from: “Seriously, the reason we picked @CoyotePoint was the price to performance ratio as well as support is unmatched as far as we could find!” to “@coyotepoint My favorite feature of the Equalizers is the ability to have Global Server Load Balancing. No more downtime, ever!” to “@coyotepoint Your load balancers are very easy to use, your support is great, and they are super reliable. Thanks.” Each day, dozens of tweets are sent to the load balancer company. All entries will be reviewed and evaluated with the winner chosen and notified by June 15.
Those that follow Coyote Point on Twitter will not only have the chance to participate in the contest, but they will also be offered tips and tricks, company information and special incentives.
“It’s a creative way of rewarding that provides value that’s not just every 100th person gets a toy but every person who signs up and follows us gets some value,” Puchbauer said. “In the end, we all benefit because the more information that is exchanged between us and our customers will be built into future products and help us improve our customer relations.”
