Continuing its upward trajectory in a crowded field, cloud contact center software leader inContact has announced that it has named a new Chief Technology Officer.
Julian Critchfield joins the company as both CTO and executive VP. Critchfield was formerly with GE Healthcare, where he served as Global CTO and general manager of specialty solutions. At the healthcare giant, Critchfield was responsible for more than 700 people and more than $900 million in revenue for the company. Now at inContact, he will report directly to CEO Paul Jarman and will oversee the company's technology strategy, product research & development, and cloud operations.
"We are pleased to welcome Julian Critchfield to our talented and seasoned executive team," Jarman said in a statement. "Julian brings a strong track record in cloud software development and customer-driven innovation that will help us leverage the increasing demand for our award-winning solutions and further extend our leadership in the rapidly growing cloud contact center market."
Prior to his time at GE, Critchfield was executive VP of development at Micro Focus International, where he led both software and customer care engineering. He also spent several years at Oracle (News - Alert), where he was VP of the company's Fusion Middleware Division, responsible for development, implementation and support of global enterprise cloud implementations. The new CTO holds a BS in Computer Science from Utah’s Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Business from California Coast University.
News of Critchfield’s appointment came on the same day that inContact announced it would hold a conference call next month to discuss results for the fourth quarter and year-end 2013. (Financial results will be issued in a press release after the close of the market the same day.) The call takes place Thursday, Feb 13, at 4:30 p.m. (EST), and will be co-hosted by Jarman and CFO Greg Ayers, who will also take questions following their presentation.
