Microlog Corporation announced an important addition to its top hierarchy. An industry leader in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Call Center solutions for the Government, Healthcare and Lotteries, Microlog has recently appointed Jim Shackelford to the position of Vice President of Sales.

Shackelford has over 25 years experience in direct sales, a press release revealed. In the span of his career, Shackelford reportedly played key role in building and managing local as well as national and international direct sales forces and channels of distribution in the Federal (DOD and Civilian), State and Local/Public Safety government markets and the commercial healthcare, legal, insurance and financial markets.

Shackelford is a BS Degree holder in Marketing from James Madison University. In the span of his career, he held key managerial posts in the reputed organizations like F4W, Envision Telephony, Vianix, Noble Systems and SER Solutions (News - Alert).

At Noble Systems, he made use of his strong industry connections and helped the company to grow its presence in the service bureau market. As the VP of Sales at SER Solutions, he helped boost up the worldwide sales for the company’s Telecommunication Division. Shackelford also had previous tenure with Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert), AVT and Firepond.

Microlog’s service offerings are aimed at enhancing the productivity at the contact centers and improving customer satisfaction. The company also provides consultation on a variety of system integration options. The company's services encompass the migration of e-commerce into the traditional call center environment by Web enablement. Microlog's award winning products also support all inbound and outbound media, telephone, e-mail, fax, and Web for contact centers.

Microlog’s technology solutions have been deployed in over 30 military hospitals around the world.

“Microlog is pleased to have Jim on board. The breadth of his experience and track record in the industry will have a positive impact on Microlog going forward,” President and CEO Richard Meccarielli commented in a statement.

Few months back, the company reported a contract win from Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, the main medical center at Fort Meade in Fort Meade, Maryland. The project involved upgrading the existing Microlog system to its newly JITC-approved Service First IVR system.
