ITIL V3 Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) to be Revamped

In order to keep up with relevant changes in the technology industry, and to satisfy the needs of ITIL candidates, the ITIL V3 Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) certification designation is currently undergoing a thorough review process. The MALC certification is a crucial part of the ITIL V3 Certification Scheme, as it brings together all the elements of the service lifecycle.


The review process will ensure that improvements and changes to the syllabuses and other elements of the certification are aligned with the needs of the ITIL user community.

"Since the launch of the ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme, each of the qualifications has been reviewed on a regular basis, as part of APM (News - Alert) Group's continual service improvement process,” said Richard Parro, CEO for The APM Group, official accreditor for the ITIL certification scheme. “We are consulting extensively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs), trainers, Examination Institutes (EIs), students and their sponsors, users, the ITIL V3 examination panel and itSMF International.”

The review process has already started, and feedback will be collected from the ITIL community over the coming weeks.

Access to a nation-wide schedule of the most updated ITIL V3 Managing across the Lifecycle training courses is available from the RCCSP Professional Education Alliance. Upcoming dates and locations include: 

Feb 14-18 - Dallas, TX
Feb 28-Mar 4 - Morristown, NJ
Feb 28-Mar 4 - Toronto, NJ
Mar 14-18 - Washington, DC
Mar 14-21 - Virtual Classroom
Mar 28-Apr 1 - Raleigh, NC

Other ITIL training courses and locations throughout the US have already been added to the RCCSP Alliance’s National ITIL Training Schedule.
