RCCSP Professionals Education Alliance Offers ITIL Version 3 Training

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of concepts and practices for information technology services management, IT development and IT operations.

ITIL, as per Wikipedia, “gives detailed descriptions of a number of important IT practices and provides comprehensive checklists, tasks and procedures that any IT organization can tailor to its needs. ITIL is published in a series of books, each of which covers an IT management topic. The names ITIL and IT Infrastructure Library are registered trademarks of the United Kingdom's Office of Government Commerce (OGC).”


ITIL is on version 3, released in 2007 and the RCCSP Professionals Education Alliance has a series of courses being offered on ITIL and specifically version 3 this fall across the U.S. and Canada. They are on:

--ITIL Capability: Operational Support and Analysis

--ITIL Capability: Planning, Protection and Optimization

--ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

--ITIL Capability: Release, Control, and Validation

--ITIL Service Lifecycle: Service Transition

--ITIL Capability: Operational Support and Analysis 

--ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle

--ITIL Service Lifecycle: Service Operation

All processes have been grouped into the appropriate volume, reflecting their business value in the “service lifecycle”. These include Service Strategy Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. The course features lectures, discussion, team exercises and quizzes.

RCCSP’s instructors have years of hands-on IT practitioner experience, enabling them to effectively intertwine theory and real life stories and scenarios. This training style it says encourages active group participation, allowing all participants to gain a wealth of practical knowledge.

“The accredited ITIL Version 3 training course is an update to the best practice guidance of the IT Infrastructure Library,” explains Nina Kawalek, CEO of the Resource Center for Customer Service Professionals. “Known as ITIL v3, the books are framed around the Service Lifecycle, taking a holistic approach to managing services and delivering business value. All of the core processes and concepts from ITIL v2 remain in ITIL v3 with updates to address emerging trends. New processes are in response to requests from the practitioner community.”
