It may nearly be the near year but, if you’re interested and experience in IP telephony, take some time out of your holidays schedule to sign up for the Grandstream Beta Club to get the chance to beta test a new enterprise IP phone. The window for applying to test Grandstream’s new color screen enterprise IP phone has been open since December 21 and will remain so until January 5, so there’s still time to sign up.
Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) is among the top manufacturers of IP voice and video telephony and video surveillance solutions. Earlier this month, the company released a new conferencing phone dubbed the GAC2500 Business Conference phone that leverages the power of Android to offer an unprecedented business telephony experience.
Grandstream’s new enterprise-grade phone will be released into the existing line of GXP21xx series Gigabit color screen phones after exiting the beta phase. As such, the device has a lot in common with the successful GXP2170, featuring multiple line keys and digital BLF/fast-dial keys, making it well suited to users expecting high call volumes.
The model number for Grandstream’s new Linux-based phone is GXP2135. The company says this new addition to its phone portfolio adds more choices for users that want to customize their total IP solution.
Other features of this up-and-coming, high-capacity IP phone include eight line keys with up to four SIP accounts, four XML programmable soft-keys, and 32 digitally programmable BLF/fast-dial keys with dual color LED. It also boasts a 2.8” 320x240 color LCD display, four-way conferencing, HD wideband audio, full-duplex speakerphone with advanced acoustic echo cancellation, dual Gigabit network ports with PoE, integrated Bluetooth, USB and support for EHS headsets.
For the beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club wants testers that have extensive IP telephony experience, preferably those that enjoy experimenting with new products. There are only 50 units of the GXP2135 available for this beta test, shipping to Beta Club members in January 2016. To apply, go to betaclub.grandstream.com.
