Yealink has announced the launch of its new flagship desktop videoconferencing phone, the SIP VP-T49G.
“We are very proud of the launch of our flagship phone model T49G,” said Yealink vice president Stone Lu (News - Alert). “Business demand for video collaboration is continuing to skyrocket. Keeping future developments in mind, we designed the T49G to seamlessly integrate with user workflows and applications and we enabled it to connect across personal computers and mobile devices. Our flagship T49G features Yealink’s (News - Alert) most advanced offerings and boasts industry’s highest level of audio and video quality.”
The device is designed for both executives and remote workers. As a flagship phone, the emphasis is on audio and video quality. The phone supports three-way conferencing in 1080p HD video on an eight inch touchscreen with Optima HD voice technology. It supports up to give audio and videoconferencing lines.
The phone has an HDMI output for connecting to a monitor, TV or projection screen. Conversations can be recorded to a drive using the USB 2.0 interface.
The 2-megapixel camera has a shutter for privacy.
The built-in microphone has a 360-degree pickup pattern, which lets people walk around and still be heard. This can be useful in conference rooms where someone is giving a presentation.
While many people have smartphones, tablets and other devices already capable of holding videoconferences, the VP-T49G offers more connection reliability by using a Gigabit Ethernet, though Wi-Fi is also supported. Users can also use Bluetooth to interface with headsets for hands-free calling.
The phone comes with a control center and notification center to make accessing frequently used functions easier, as well as an onscreen keyboard for searching contacts and text communications through UC.
“Our goal is to help our customers arrive at the revolutionary future of desktop video collaboration today, which allows them to maximize their experience and boost their productivity,” Lu said.
