Companies are realizing the importance of a comprehensive business telephone system that is cost-effective and user friendly without lacking in features. Furthermore, for smaller businesses with room to grow a SIP phone system must be fully scalable. In response to this need, Panasonic (News - Alert) System Communications Company of North America recently announced the launch of the KX-TGP600, a new SIP cordless phone system aimed specifically at small and medium-sized businesses.
The KX-TGP600 is a capable phone system that is very simple to install and maintain, yet is fully featured with support for eight phone numbers and as many as eight simultaneous calls. The system is based on Panasonic’s SIP communications platform, which enables the ability to add and subtract many of the features at will in order to meet the needs of various business environments.
Compatibility with a range of different corded and cordless handsets ensures the KX-TPG600 can maintain flexibility without compromising functionality or reliability. Panasonic offers the Desktop DECT (News - Alert) Phone (KX-TPA65) — a fixed handset model intended for office environments — with a 1.8” color LCD screen, backlight, headset jack and HD wideband audio. There are also three cordless models: the KX-TPA60 Standard Cordless Phone (News - Alert), the KX-UDT131 Cordless Rugged Phone and the KX-UDT121 Cordless Compact Phone. Each features a 500 phone book address, 20 last-dialed number memory, 200 hours standby time, 13 hours talk time and built-in Bluetooth.
“The combination of quality, flexibility and overall low-cost make the KX-TGP600 one of the best SIP phone systems we’ve brought to market to-date,” said Kim Murtagh, Senior Product Manager for Unified Communications (News - Alert) at Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “With our cordless DECT technology, businesses of all types have the flexibility and mobility they need, to keep their businesses running smoothly at all times.”
Panasonic implemented its DECT technology to drastically reduce the fading and call interruptions that cordless phone systems are infamous for, and a Voice Clarity (News - Alert) function enhances call quality by reducing ambient noise. The handset will even intelligently adjust the volume in the receiver based on the user’s environment.
The KX-TPG600 is ideal for smaller companies that need a fully scalable and capable business phone system. Starting at $199, the system is currently available through Panasonic’s partner resellers.
