Businesses around the world are turning to technologies that support a streamlined, unified communication experience. But while the term “unified communications” keeps things simple, there are a vast array of solutions and technologies involved in making such a system work. PBX (News - Alert), fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) and unified communications all work together to provide information and communication efficiency within a company.
To that end, Centile (News - Alert) Telecom Applications was an early investor in SIP technology, striving to design solutions for service providers and mobile operators that would allow them to deliver UC features to enterprises of all sizes, with complete transparency through any network. It might sound like a lofty goal, but Centile has achieved just that with its convergent platform called Istra. The platform is intended mainly for telecom service providers who want to succeed against legacy PBX, OTT and open source competitors.
Now Istra is broadening its reach with the integration of Yealink’s (News - Alert) latest IP phone lines. The new partnership, announced by Yealink this week, will offer businesses around the world a greater range of service features and an enhanced user experience in the high-quality formats that unified communication now delivers. Through the Istra platform, Yealink can now offer Centile customers its advanced SIP-T4 series of IP phones, designed specifically to support UC services.
“Centile empowers service partners to be able to help their own clients such as Telecall, one of Brazil’s most innovative operators, in improving the competitiveness, efficiency and commercial performance of their customers,” said Robert Urban, sales director at Centile. “Yealink shares this noble goal and we look forward to working closely with the team long into the future.”
The Istra platform was designed to work with all types of GSM phones, but the partnership with Yealink will allow Centile to offer enterprises an even richer range of available features to improve the user experience for not just businesses, but for their customers as well through enhanced communication options.
“Yealink is very pleased to be building successful partnerships and close relationships in Europe, and in particular with experience cloud-based communication developers such as Centile who have a well-established R&D history that makes them cutting-edge solutions-partners,” said Stone Lu (News - Alert), senior vice president of sales and marketing at Yealink.
