Uboss, an OSS service assignment, billing and automation portal, helps service providers scale their hosted communication services. Its current interoperability with Yealink is regarded as crucial to BroadSoft (News - Alert) partners.
"We are very pleased to have achieved interoperability with Uboss," said Steve Watt's, general manager at Yealink U.K.
The real power of Uboss lies in simplifying the provision of new users on the system by combining all the elements that are required to deliver the specified service to the customer. Uboss, while streamlining operational and billing elements also allows customers to easily add applications and services, enabling them to tap the potential of the rapidly growing cloud unified communications market.
"Uboss is an overlay portal that provisions groups, users and services in BroadWorks. This new initiative provides bespoke functionality to Yealink (News - Alert)'s highly featured endpoints without having to re-engineer the solution each time,” noted Dave Dadds, CEO at Uboss.
The integration between Yealink and the Uboss platform didn’t happen overnight. It is stated to be the culmination of hard work and co-operation between the companies’ respective R&D teams and an earnest desire to ensure the best possible integration and feature transparency between Yealink’s handsets and the Uboss platform.
Yealink ensures that people can connect and co-ordinate easily from almost anywhere and makes light of geographical barriers.
Thus, the custom integration of Uboss with Yealink is expected to simplify rollout of Yealink’s award winning IP handsets and maximize revenue by getting service providers to market quicker with a more sophisticated product offering. Apart from the automated device configuration for plug and play deployment, Uboss allows customization according to individual functional requirements.
“This automation extends beyond creating the config. file for the user, allowing Partner's to specify individual button functions, push their logos to the screen and deploy dial-by-name on-screen directory," noted Dadds.
Uboss is regarded unique as an OSS vendor, and its design philosophy has been to help channel providers deploy users quickly, provide options for how they go to market, give them a unique product offering and to reduce the customer service overhead as far as possible.
