Spectralink introduced new Wi-Fi and DECT (News - Alert) VoIP phones, which are not only durable and standards-based handsets, but also feature safety protocols and productivity tools that serve the needs of several industries.
Healthcare, retail services, manufacturing warehousing and other industries will benefit a lot from these new VoIP phones. All Spectralink wireless phones are available at IP Phone (News - Alert) Warehouse, including the new Spectralink 8441 and 8453 Wi-Fi phones and DECT phone systems.
Officials explained that the Spectralink 8400-series Wi-Fi phones connect to compatible wireless access points in order to deliver mobile VoIP capabilities along with roaming and UC solutions to an on-site workforce.
Also, all Spectralink Wi-Fi phones are rugged, shock-resistant and are certified for use where exposure to water and dust is maximum.
The main difference of the Spectralink 8441 and 8453 wireless VoIP handsets when compared to the 8400-series is the included Spectralink “SAFE” feature. On being integrated into any existing infrastructure, Spectralink SAFE is capable of issuing alerts to other users when any user presses the panic/duress button.
Same holds good when someone uses the tear-off string-triggered “man down” alarm built into the phones. The presence of onboard sensors enables the detection and issuance of a notification signal when there is unusual motion like running or no movement from the user. It can also detect unusual tilting of the device, added officials.
The Spectralink 8453 phone features a barcode scanner that is compatible with industry-standard 1D and 2D types, including EAN and UPC barcodes. This has been added to enhance mobile productivity.
Spectralink DECT phones can be used in office environments and manufacturing facilities. The Butterfly-series DECT phones are colorful and feature basic call functions and interfaces for office personnel.
The higher-end 7000-series models feature ATEX and MET certification and can be used in potentially explosive environments. Spectralink DECT servers, base stations and repeaters enable the extension of the devices’ wireless reach. All the phones include long battery life for reliability in multi-shift environments.
Spectralink REACH, a seamless integration solution introduced recently brings together nurse call systems and wireless handsets. The company also announced a partnership with Rauland-Borg to offer the REACH solution through Rauland’s valued network of distribution channel partners.
