The death of the traditional office desk phone is predicted to be the single most disruptive force in voice services. IP phones today feature more integration with mobile software such as Android (News - Alert), offer a variety of rich features and are a low-cost alternative to support today’s business communications.
Yealink, a provider of IP phones and IP communication solutions, aims to keep up with the trends in the industry and offer what customers want and need. Its product portfolio features a variety of IP phones with different capabilities, including its Gigabit Color IP Phone, cordless IP Dect Phone, VP530 IP Video Phone and USB Phone.
TMC caught up with Miki Tang, regional sales manager, Yealink (News - Alert), at ITEXPO earlier this year. Tang explained how Yealink focuses on research and development to innovate and make phones that are high quality and easy to use and deploy for both end users and engineers. One big advantage Yealink offers, according to Tang, is its technical support service. More than one in three Yealink employees is an R&D team engineer, ensuring that Yealink not only provides quality IP phones but also offers technical expertise and in-depth understanding for tech support.
Tang explained the company aims to make high-quality products but with affordable prices, which has helped Yealink gain industry recognition. In 2012, Frost and Sullivan named Yealink a global top five SIP provider as well as awarded the IP phone provider with the 2012 Global Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) Award for Growth Leadership, which recognizes the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for the past three years.
Its VP530 IP video phone also received market praise for its features and compatibility with major enterprise platforms. The phone offers unified audio, video and applications to be a powerful business video phone, and is offered by vendors such as Asterisk (News - Alert), BroadSoft, Avaya and 3CX.
