IP Phone Maker Lantone Systems Appointed as Xorcom Distributor in Singapore

IP phone maker Xorcom (News - Alert), a manufacturer of business telephony interfaces and appliances based on Asterisk open source software, announced that Lantone Systems has joined Xorcom distribution channel in Singapore.

Headquartered in Singapore, and with offices in London, Russia, Ukraine and Vietnam, Lantone Systems specializes in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) infrastructure and supplies telephony products such as Digium, Dialogic, Polycom, CISCO, Linksys (News - Alert), and many more.

Following this agreement, Lantone Systems now distributes the entire range of Xorcom’s Asterisk (News - Alert)-based IP-PBX and USB2-connected channel banks to qualified resellers in the local market.

Lantone Systems is one of the earliest Asterisk adopters in Singapore. The company was appointed in 2010 as the exclusive distributor for IP phone maker Yealink. Coincidentally, in March 2010, Xorcom announced that the full range of Yealink SIP-T2x series HD IP phones had been compliance-tested by Xorcom for interoperability with their IP PBX (News - Alert) models.

“Recruiting Lantone is in line with our goal to expand our worldwide distribution channel with experienced professionals that can deliver optimal, timely solutions to local resellers,” said Eran Gal, Xorcom’s CEO, in a statement.

“We expect Lantone to be able to introduce us to the kind of professional VoIP system integrators we need to take our sales in the Far East to the next level, and are excited about this relationship,” Gal added.

Lantone Systems has been in the CTI (News - Alert) industry for more than 15 years and has earned a reputation as a leading provider of innovative telephony solutions.

“Lantone Systems is confident that we are a suitable partner to assist Xorcom in its expansion plans in Singapore,” said Sandeep Singhania, technical director at Lantone Systems, in a statement. “We also believe that Xorcom’s reliable Asterisk PBX appliances will bring far-reaching benefits to our large base of telephony clients.”

Back in March, Xorcom announced the launch of a hardware echo canceller module. This new module will ship for the company’s Astribank telephony interfaces and Asterisk-based IP-PBX appliances, according to company officials.
