Star2Star Communications has published the first in an ongoing series of white papers. Officials with Star2Star Communications (News - Alert) said that the paper, titled Star2Star System Architecture is available for download from the “Resources” section of the Star2Star web site.
Company officials said that the Star2Star System Architecture uses a unique blend of an on-site PBX (News - Alert) system (called a StarBox) and a suite of telephony applications hosted on Star2Star’s high-reliability servers.
According to company officials, the on-premise PBX can make intelligent call routing decisions.
“The Star2Star system uses a unique architecture that delivers some very real advantages to our customers”, said Joe Rhem, president of Star2Star, in a statement.
“We want to explain exactly how the architecture works and why it is superior to other VoIP systems”, said Rhem.
Company officials said that unlike other VoIP providers, Star2Star provides a complete, end-to-end service that includes the PBX, the VoIP service, and IP telephones.
Moreover, Star2Star takes responsibility for service and support for the entire system, and even offers next-day equipment replacement in the event of a hardware failure.
By taking responsibility for the entire call path, Star2Star can control quality and monitor reliability, using patent pending technology.
While the first title in the white paper series is technical in nature, upcoming papers will cover the business and cost-saving aspects of VoIP, company officials said.
Founded in 2006, Sarasota, Florida – based Star2Star Communications says that it is re-inventing the phone company for the Internet age.
The company says that its unique technology provides users with innovative features that increase productivity while decreasing monthly communications costs.
