snom technology AG (News - Alert) announced today that its SIP-based IP phone systems are interoperable with Cordia’s global, flexible and low-cost business VoIP service.

Likewiase, Cordia’s SIP service – designed for business users of SIP trunking and IP PBX (News - Alert) systems – will be able to include snom’s portfolio. snom’s offerings for enterprises include the snom 320, snom 360, snom 370, snom 820 and snom 870 touchscreen phone. Additional snom products include the snom MeetingPoint conferencing phone and the snom m3 IP DECT (News - Alert) phone.

Cordia’s SIP service includes features such as inbound and outbound calling, toll-free, direct inward dialing, E-911 compliance, national directory listing, online billing, account management and more.

“We’re pleased to expand our ecosystem of strategic technology partners to include CordiaIP as a certified carrier partner,” said Michael Knieling (News - Alert), executive vice president of marketing and Sales for snom technology AG, in a statement. “Using snom’s intelligent VoIP telephones on Cordia’s global carrier VoIP network is the perfect fit and creates a complete end-to-end communications system at a price point tailor-made for small and mid-sized businesses.”

Cordia’s service will offer users of snom intelligent endpoints a high-quality voice service with IP connectivity, but without the cost and hassle associated with dedicated circuits, according to Cordia officials.

What’s more, Cordia can keep their existing PBX or Key System and use the Cordia-provided user access device to connect with the Cordia network. Cordia’s SIP service can be used as a primary or secondary carrier; it utilizes multiple network nodes that offer numerous routes for the highest call completion for a business or call center.

And in the event of an Internet outage, Cordia can transfer routes between nodes for redundancy and offers TDM/PSTN rollover capabilities. Customers can receive new telephone or toll free numbers or port their existing numbers to Cordia.

“snom IP endpoints are the perfect complement to our business SIP trunking service,” said Dave Coughlin, vice president of sales for CordiaIP. “The features of our managed VoIP service combined with the full-featured SIP-based phones from snom offer the perfect end-to-end business VoIP solution at a fraction of the cost of most business voice systems.”
