Yealink Showcases IP Phones at Hong Kong Electronics Fair and China Sourcing Fair

By Marisa Torrieri, TMCnet Editor

Coming off an IT EXPO West “Best of Show” award win, Chinese IP phone maker Yealink (News - Alert) took its most sophisticated batch of gadgets west.

In mid-October, the company introduced its line of inexpensive multimedia phones to attendees at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and China Sourcing Fair, held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center and Asia World Expo. So far, the reviews that have followed have been positive, according to Yealink.

“These two shows were rewarding, and many valued guests were introduced to us and they showed great interest and made positive comments about our products,” said  Leo Huang, a sales representative. “These shows were also great opportunities for us to learn the new market needs as well.”

At September’s ITEXPO (News - Alert) show, Yealink won acclaim for its latest line of enterprise IP phones.

“This is the first time that we got award from the TMCnet and it is really encouraging for Yealink,” said Stone Lu, vice president of Yealink. “It proves again the innovative strength of company and for sure we will keep the superiority of product and service in our future work.”

Yealink’s IP phones are equipped with TI chipsets and TI voice engines for high definition voice. The IP phones, which are all fully compatible with the SIP industry standard, feature broad interoperability with the major IP-PBX (News - Alert), IMS, NGN, softswitch and other third-party SIP products on the market today for enterprise communication systems.

According to ABI Research (News - Alert) multimedia IP phones in the “fourth screen” devices market are poised to enjoy strong growth in the next few years – generating a market value above $5 billion by 2014.

“While the first media phone models only appeared late last year in the U.S., earlier in Asia, more than 30 million units will be shipped in 2014,” said ABI Research industry analyst Michael Inouye. “These devices, which feature video playback, Internet connectivity and some form of voice functionality, will be among the strongest performers among Fourth Screen products.”
