IP Phone Maker, Yealink's 2010 Year in Review

By Stefanie Mosca, TMCnet Managing Editor

Yealink, IP phone maker and provider of IP communication solutions based out of China, has a lot to be proud of looking back on its accomplishments in 2010.

In the beginning of 2010, Yealink (News - Alert) started out its year with news of its plans to attend Germany’s CeBIT2010 show in Hannover in March and ITEXPO (News - Alert). Later that month, the IP phone maker announced it completed interoperability testing between Xorcom’s (News - Alert) IP-PBX models and the full range of Yealink’s SIP-T2x series HD IP Phones.

In April, Yealink announced more news of an interoperability partnership with Digium, Inc., the Asterisk (News - Alert) Company and certification of Yealink’s SIP-T2x series IP phones.

Later that month, Yealink’s simply IP phone SIP-T18P became available on the market. The simply IP Phone SIP-T18P is based on the SIP standard and has been extensively tested to conform to comprehensive interoperability requirements for IP PBX (News - Alert) and soft switches.

Throughout the year, the IP phone maker also announced interoperability partnerships with Broadsoft Device Management, Avaya, and Positron.

Last month, in an attempt to keep up with the ever advancing Internet, Yealink, announced that its SIP-T2xP series IP phones are now compatible with IPv6-standard. This compatibility further reinforces the R&D strength of Yealink phones.

Most recently, Yealink announced it is ready to release the latest firmware for its video phone. The Yealink, VP-2009P, a SIP-based video phone, represents the next generation in IP multimedia communication for the IP phone maker.  The VP-2009P provides the functionality of Yealink’s enterprise IP phones, including an easy and affordable solution for communicating using face-to-face video.

2010 proved to be a successful year for Yealink. Stay tuned to the company’s IP Phone Maker channel exclusively on TMCnet to see what’s in store for the IP phone maker in 2011.
