Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST (News - Alert)), a provider of interoperable unified communications (UC) solutions, announced that, after undergoing a detailed validation process, its CX-E platform was awarded the Mitel (News - Alert) Compatible Test (MCT) certification.

AVST, a Mitel Solutions Alliance (MSA) member, explained that the CX-E is a cost-effective Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) platform designed to work with existing infrastructure without demanding any new upgrades or equipment. Its interoperability empowers existing telephone systems, e-mail solutions and data infrastructure to bring productivity-enabling applications to one’s employees while preserving their existing and future IT investments.

Now, with MCT certification, the CX-E platform can be seamlessly deployed along with the Mitel MiVoice Business unified communications platform.

The CX-E offers a robust call processing feature set and is packed with UC applications including unified messaging, speech recognition, personal assistant, context-aware availability, mobile client, automated attendant, call processing, voicemail, fax, notification and other business process integration capabilities. CX-E also offers integration for all the major telephony vendors; includes over 400 TDM, IP-PBX (News - Alert), and Centrex options to choose from; and is capable of supporting multiple integrations on a single server.

Mitel said that it will continue to work with companies like AVST to deliver complete solutions that address the business challenges of its customers.
