Ethernet is the standard for high-speed Internet, benefiting data centers, web-based applications and high-end workstations with its increased bandwidth.

Alpheus Communications (News - Alert), a provider of network services, dark fiber, data center solutions and information and communication technology services in Texas, has become a key Ethernet provider to AireSpring (News - Alert), a provider of IP communications solutions, as it expands its MPLS and Ethernet solutions throughout Texas. AireSpring’s MPLS Mesh allows customers to combine multiple MPLS networks with a single SLA, single bill and single point of contact.

It used to be that only 10 percent of the nation’s companies were able to receive Ethernet via fiber-optic connections. AireSpring expands that coverage more than 50 fold by delivering Ethernet over Copper lines as well, bringing 10 Mbps of the bandwidth that companies today are craving.

Alpheus offers AireSpring a more ubiquitous coverage area for its Texas footprint. Its Ethernet Virtual Private Line services offer a simple and cost-effective way to create high-bandwidth connections between multiple locations in the same city or leverage its core fiber network for inter-city connection.
