The product suite combines business-class IP video technologies with flexible, customizable endpoint options for building reliable, affordable and simple video monitoring solutions, according to company officials. It incorporates surveillance software, storage, switching and network management.
With the help of NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance, customers and channel partners will be able to connect any of over 1,000 supported name-brand IP camera models to complete the package. The solution will also help small businesses and corporate branch offices to protect physical assets.
"NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance brings professional quality surveillance technologies to the small and medium business market,” Matt Pahnke, senior product marketing manager at NETGEAR, said. "We're already the global leader in smart switching and in unified storage system units, and are delighted to bring to market the widest combination of products that's easy to implement and manage for partners and end users alike."
For the first time, NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance combines four critical NETGEAR components into an affordable and simple suite.
The new NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance Network Video Recorder software boasts of intelligent search, digital watermark and e-mapping technology and supports up to 16 simultaneous cameras, including megapixel and HD models. Now, video can be viewed on the Web or played back on mobile clients.
"With NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance, we no longer have to pay for a large 16-camera system or an expensive CCTV consultant when we only need a modest solution that works with our existing infrastructure," said Robert Cortese of 7 Bamboo Karaoke Lounge. "Recording in true 1280p HD, NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance meets the security requirements of our business, as well as our budget."
Officials said that the NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance also wraps the NETGEAR ReadyNAS family of network storage devices, which is an uncompromising business-class video platform. Additionally it also includes five NETGEAR Network Management Software licenses.
In related news, NETGEAR has released a new generation of the industry's first and only stackable smart switches.
