ITEXPO West is certainly off to a great start, with wholesale and organizational service provider AstraQom kicking off the communications technologies conference and expo with its Women in Telecom & Technology Breakfast.

As co-sponsors of the breakfast, along with Xorcom, DIDX and the SIP School, a collaborative mix of Canada, Israel, U.S.- and U.K-based companies, AstraQom will come together with some of the industry’s most seasoned female movers and shakers from Fonality, Jaymie Scotto & Associates, Crossfire Media, Pacific Crest Securities, Intronis, GoGrid, BillSoft, LifeSize Communications, and even Google (News - Alert).

“All of us at AstraQom look forward to ITEXPO West this week with its wide variety of experienced and wise industry thought leaders, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors from companies such as 8x8, AudioCodes, Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert), Avaya, Dialogic, Digium, and Yealink,” said Suzanne Bowen of AstroQom, also co-founder of Super Technologies (News - Alert), and a blogger for TMCnet. “The new location of Austin, No. 7 on the list of America's Top Tech Center 2009, is a smart move. I'm glad to see StartupCamp4 and also inGate's SIP Trunking workshop again. I have always said that the more of a variety of types of people and organizations that a conference attracts, the more exciting innovations and partnerships result.”

“ITEXPO attracts developers, resellers, vendors, service providers (wholesale and other levels), government and SMBs,” Bowen added. “Our company has scheduled several chats and meetups with those interested in AstraQom's healthcare, hospitality and nonprofit solutions, as well as our new PinoyKubo for Filipinos' social network. We work closely with our clients to set up and grow their organization in the direction they want with Web, e-mail, and PBX hosting; video/audio conferencing; social media and networks; and IP communications.”

Following closely behind AstraQom’s recently completed audio podcast interview, featuring Leila Modarres, vice president of DeviceAnywhere (News - Alert), the company is also gearing up for its CEO and founder, Faraz Syed, to speak today, Sept. 13, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., in a session entitled “Managing the Deluge of Third-Party Devices and Apps in the Enterprise.”

Joined by moderator Bob Emmerson, Nathan Clevenger of ITR Mobility, Chris Perret of Nukona and Mark Sochan of Partnerpedia, Syed will reflect on how enterprise IT departments are managing devices and their respective applications from a widespread spectrum of manufacturers, operating systems, platforms an carrier networks during a time in which a growing number of company employees are buying their own mobile devices to use for business purposes.

Those interested in learning more about and connecting with representatives from AstaQom, Jonathan Sowah, the company’s CEO, recommends looking for “Suzanne Bowen in the soft blue AstraQom oxford on the expo floor, at night-time receptions and parties, and the conference sessions.”

“We want to showcase the best on TMC (News - Alert), AstraQom and DIDX audio, video, blog and other media channels. We always actively participate in TMC events because they always are ahead of the curve such as with this year's ITEXPO West,” Sowah continued, noting that attendees should pay a visit to the tech job fair, sponsored by Dice, being held Thursday, Sept. 15, from 11 to 3. “Be sure to get connected with one of our team at this conference with business cards and social networks. We believe that everyone will achieve goals they set in Austin at this event because it has such a quality variety to offer.”
