The M6 Group has chosen Anevia’s IP video products for building a multi-site IPTV (News - Alert) head-end for channel monitoring, internal distribution and rights management.

Anevia is a major player in video streaming solutions and service infrastructure for live TV and video on demand. With over 1,000 deployments in 70 countries, representing millions of users and over 25,000 live channels, it has carved a niche in the industry.

The M6 Group selected the company to supply its headquarters, just outside of Paris in Neuilly sur Seine, with an IPTV head-end solution over a fiber optic network to replace a legacy coaxial and twisted pair based system.

Based on its ViaLive DVB to IP gateway and Toucan video server for VOD and nPVR recording features, Anevia (News - Alert) built a solution for the M6 group.

Anevia’s IPTV head-end streams multiple live video channels across all the M6 offices and production studios to thousands of HD video monitors as well as through the M6 intranet.

"Our open video streaming technology is designed to support multiple devices and applications," said Vincent Meddour, Regional Sales Director at Anevia, in a press release. "We are very pleased that M6 has chosen our solution as it's a perfect fit to their multi-site network environment."

The M6 Group is the private owner of several popular French TV channels including the free M6, W9 channels, the pay-TV channels Paris Premiere, Teva, TF6, Serie Club, and M6 Music, and the M6 Boutique La Chaine shopping channel.

In related news, Anevia, a provider of video solutions and service infrastructure for the delivery of live and on-demand services, launched a new version of its ViaMotion video server that is capable of supporting WebM Live Streaming with adaptive bitrate.
