ANDTEK, a Munich-based unified communications expert, reveals that companies are able to save time, improve their service and achieve higher customer satisfaction using modern communications solutions from ANDTEK.

iWelt AG, a provider of customized ICT solutions based in Eibelstadt in Lower Franconia, picked ANDTEK’s call distribution software “AND Phone (News - Alert) Group ACD” to automatically forward incoming calls to free staff members.

The completely IP phone-based service enabled the staff of iWelt to get an overview of all lines in real-time and make it function like a call center. The service also enables staff members to make individual settings as to their availability and forward to the corresponding colleague.

Lars Steffen, Web and content manager of iWelt, said, “The value of this communication service is mainly due to the fast customer contact and the fast reaction time. We benefit from comfort and time saving.”

Besides AND Phone Group ACD, iWelt uses an IP Cmmunications service from ANDTEK, “AND Phone Observer,” for video surveillance at the corporate entrance and for the doorbell at the main entrance.  AND Phone Observer can be combined with other AND Phone modules to realize door openers and intercom systems or to trigger further activities, company officials said.

The company has also leveraged “AND Phone Broadcast” for general corporate announcements. It enables iWelt to address not only the entire company building but also smaller groups of people. The simple administration allows them flexible management of different and numerically unlimited user groups according to local or functional aspects.

“Regarding day-to-day work our company cannot do without ANDTEK’s IP Communications services being an excellent supplement to our Cisco (News - Alert) system,” adds Lars Steffen. “If we did not have these functions, we would painfully miss same by now.”

In July ANDTEK presented its unified communications solutions at the "Cisco Live 2011" in Las Vegas. The central product on display was the attendant console software "AND Desktop AC" that enables a user to utilize the functions of a modern attendant console very easily and manage it centrally. The latest attendant console solution also offers all functions to be used as fully featured workplace for blind persons.
