Demand for cloud-based unified communications (UC) has surged, as many companies have gained confidence in this technology.  This in turn has coerced VoIP communication and UC services provider BroadSoft (News - Alert) to deploy Juniper Networks’ routing, switching and security systems.

BroadSoft is a provider of software and services that facilitate mobile, fixed-line and cable service providers to offer UC over their Internet protocol  (IP) networks. Some of the key services of its portfolio include hosted PBX (News - Alert), SIP trunking, instant messaging and presence, audio conferencing and video calling.

The primary objective of upgrading BroadSoft’s network infrastructure was to empower carriers to take new UC services to market quickly and cost-effectively. For the reason that, BroadSoft’s new cloud-based BroadCloud hosted infrastructure that helps carriers to take new UC services to market is required to cater to increasing demand for cloud-based communication capabilities. Hence, BroadSoft sought help from Juniper Networks (News - Alert).

Precisely, service providers can now white label BroadCloud's UC services while BroadSoft can reciprocate to the increasing network demand by deploying Juniper Networks’ QFX series switches, EX series Ethernet switches, MX Series 3D universal edge routers and SRX series services gateways.

Juniper Networks’ QFX series switches are high-performance, low-latency platforms tailored for top-of-rack or end-of-row installations. These switches can be deployed as 10GbE or 40GbE devices in virtual chassis, virtual chassis fabric, and QFabric system architectures.

Juniper Networks’ EX series Ethernet switches are carrier-class switching solutions ideal for converged enterprise branch offices, campuses, and data centers, as well as for service provider deployments. These solutions address escalating demands for high availability, UC, mobility, and virtualization within enterprise networks.

Juniper Networks’ MX Series 3D universal edge routers are SDN-ready edge routers that scale in bandwidth, subscribers, and services. These series provide system capacity, density, and performance required to meet the rapidly growing demands of enterprise and service provider networks.

Juniper Networks’ SRX series services gateways are security platforms delivering protection, performance, scalability, availability, and security service integration for the data center and enterprise edge.
