Do you think your service provider clients notice when their calls get connected more quickly and the voice quality improves?

REVE Systems thinks they do, so to this end they’re offering a technological advancement company officials call, “Quick Call Connectivity” as part of their iTel Switch Plus. The added functionality means users of iTel Switch Plus get connected to their second party in less time than it usually takes, and are getting better voice quality as well.  

So of course this means service providers who can provide this better calling experience to their customers can differentiate themselves from the competition. Let’s face it, this isn’t an industry when brand name differentiation is all that pronounced, something like this can make customers take notice.

 The iTel Switch Plus itself is a carrier-grade softswitch with integrated billing and Interactive Voice Response designed to suit VoIP service providers with retail and wholesale operations, REVE officials say, “irrespective of their scale of business.” It offers multi-level reseller support, Class 4 & 5 softswitch features and such expected features as support for multimodal origination devices and termination options, reporting and monitoring tools and an enhanced multi -tier security architecture.

TMC (News - Alert) recently noted that REVE Systems is now featuring hosted offerings that provide iTel Switch Plus: “Many small and medium size IP telephony platform providers, as well as carrier grade VoIP service providers, find hosted a good way to go, especially when they don't want to the hassle of maintaining and monitoring the softswitch. Because let’s face it, who really needs more hassle?”

When it comes to the rapid connectivity, REVE officials say that given iTel Switch Plus 2.0’s status as “the fastest softswitch in the world,” it can provide users with instant connectivity on VoIP calls, with speeds noticeable to customers used to other connections.

Of course you need to provide top-level customer service along with improved connection times and voice quality to really hold on to customers. To that end, iTel Switch Plus version 2.0 comes with a way to ensure clients’ softswitch account balances never turns negative.

The “Never Go Negative” feature - sadly, doesn’t work on political campaigns - NGN is a billing feature developed “to prevent the losses incurred by many resellers.” Unlike with ordinary softswitches, where call traffic is still live after the main account balance is finished, iTel Switch Plus monitors all running calls, company officials say, explaining that “when account balance is extremely low, it checks and allows a call only if there is enough balance to continue the call.”
