Cloud-based Contact Center Solutions from LiveVox Recertified by Verizon Business

As prominent as the world of cloud computing technology is on the forefront of communications-related news these days, it is a remarkably fluid market. Businesses are constantly having to stay on top of compliance regulations and security requirements. The contact center industry is no exception to this rule, and LiveVox (News - Alert) is well aware of these conditions for holding a significant place in the cloud-based systems space as a provider of cloud contact center platforms.


LiveVox’s fully burstable cloud contact center platform with cloud switching was recently recertified for PCI-DSS by Verizon (News - Alert) Business. The company creates and implements cloud-based solutions for multi-site contact centers, and improves productivity overall for the contact center.

The recertification from Verizon Business, a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) enables LiveVox to continue its work by providing cloud-based PCI (News - Alert)-certified cloud switching for contact centers. "LiveVox is committed to helping optimize contact center operations by providing simplified and more effective technology," stated Louis Summe (News - Alert), CEO, LiveVox. "Part of that is the ability to ensure scalable data security across multi-site enterprises without the need for complex configurations and data duplication."

LiveVox’s PCI certification is scalable, and is one of several features available with its Compliance Suite including cell phone scrubs, account penetration settings, state dialing configuration, integrated call recording, and real-time agent monitoring and reporting.

Summe continued, "Obtaining PCI-certification for multi-site operations based on premise technology requires large investments in capital, time and IT resources.”

This particular technology from LiveVox removes feature limitations of site-based technology and unifies agents from across the organization with cloud-switching-enabled virtual agent queues. Leaders from LiveVox mentioned that this cloud-based technology is proving “obsolete” the notion that previously implemented contact center solutions have to remain costly and inefficient for customer-facing operations.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle cardholder information for the major debit, credit, prepaid, e-purse, ATM, and POS cards. Certification is an annual process that requires an extensive audit by an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
