IT Sonix is a German provider of outbound contact center telemarketing software. Their flagship call center solution, ELSBETH, is a fully-featured, general-purpose outbound suite that combines the features of predictive dialing and call scripting with campaign management, real-time speech analytics and agent coaching capabilities. Having been tempted by these and other features, Enghouse (News - Alert) Systems Limited made the announcement that they have acquired IT Sonix for just over $11.7 million dollars.
The ELSBETH platform may be powerful, but it is only part of the reason Enghouse sought to acquire IT Sonix as a company asset. Enghouse provides enterprise software solutions around the world to a broad diversity of vertical markets, and improved call center software in general is yet another way that they can support their clients.
In a statement, Stephen Sadler (News - Alert), chairman and CEO of Enghouse, said, “This acquisition once again demonstrates our commitment to scale our existing operations in the important German market and establishes an Enghouse presence in Italy. IT Sonix’s talented work force and excellent products are a great fit for Enghouse.”
Enghouse’s purchase of IT Sonix means that more businesses globally will have access to the ELSBETH calling platform, which will provide call centers with a wealth of tools and options. For example, the speech analytics and agent coaching applications work to improve the skills of call center operators by providing real-time coaching during phone calls. This improves the operator’s efficiency and effectiveness, which boosts their overall sales performance and leads to more revenue.
Though ELSBETH is designed with a focus on outbound calling, it also provides support for inbound calls, creating a smooth ad comprehensive calling experience for customers who need to call back for more information. The application is easily integrated into Enghouse and other third party products, which ultimately boosts the performance of both.
