Fusion Productions has signed a strategic agreement with Meridian Knowledge Solutions to bring the Virginia-based software maker's learning-management system (LMS) to America's nearly 100,000 professional, trade and non-profit groups.
The companies said that they see "fertile ground" in providing Fusion's professional development and e-learning services with Meridian's LMS to the nation's associations.
Meridian's flagship product, Meridian Global LMS, integrates learning content management, workforce analytics, knowledge management, and competency modeling in one LMS.
"Our two firms know the professional development needs of associations and non-profits," said Roy Haythorn, executive vice president of operations at Meridian.
Haythorn said that among other things, associations look to learning and development as a way to deliver value to members in supporting the need for certification, continuing education and licensure.
Fusion claims to be at the forefront of today's technology solutions including social media strategy and execution, eLearning, website development, learning platforms, and full AMS integration.
Donald Dea, co-founder of Fusion Productions, said that they conducted extensive due diligence in qualifying Meridian's platform, organization and product road map to bring forward an enterprise platform that is geared to solving the learning portal needs of associations.
"Meridian's learning portal for associations mirrors the unique processes, integration, and interface considerations of associations and non-profit organizations," Dea said.
The Meridian portal supports members by tracking continuing education, managing competencies and delivering professional development courses. Company officials said with the help of the portal, an association can brand itself and also ensure that its members comply with continuing education, certifications and regulatory considerations.
Additionally, the portal is also expected to enable users to obtain the education and knowledge they need to support their professional and business needs at the moment they need it.
