TouchStar Initiates Volunteer Program for Employees

August 13, 2007

Call center solution provider TouchStar has announced the commencement of a volunteer program for its employees.  Under the Community Spirit Program (CSP (News - Alert)), TouchStar calls upon its 200 managers and executives across the globe, to participate in various volunteer events during and after working hours. These events will be organized in order to support a variety of non-profit welfare organizations. TouchStar (News - Alert) has invited volunteer support requests from such organizations.

The CSP was launched within the company on August 7, 2007 and has received a tremendous response from the employees. In fact, the participation requests for the very first activity, scheduled for Saturday, September 15, have exceeded the allotted spaces. The first activity will be held in the Soup Kitchen at the Denver Rescue Mission’s Lawrence Street Facility, where TouchStar volunteers will serve lunch. The Denver Rescue Mission works for the welfare of the underprivileged in Denver.

“It is heartwarming to have employees that are willing to take time out of their busy lives to give back to the community.  We continually build our strong internal core value of caring, and now it is time to extend that caring by giving back to our community,” remarked Steve Bederman, CEO of TouchStar.

Among other activities for the year are a Habitat for Humanity home building project and a holiday toy drive benefit for Children’s Hospital.

Denver, Colorado based TouchStar deals in on-site call center software, hosted call center systems, predictive dialers, automated voice messaging, voice, data & long distance services, and an IP PBX (News - Alert).
